The LSU Gymnastics team achieved a historic milestone, clinching their first national title on April 20th at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. Their journey, marked by an undefeated home season and packed arenas, showcased the constant support of Tiger Nation. Following their triumph, the team gathered for their annual banquet at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, a celebration tinged with pride and joy under the leadership of head coach Jay Clark. With over 500 attendees, this banquet marked a record-breaking turnout, a testament to the team’s growing prominence.
Amidst the festivities, standout gymnast Olivia Dunne found a heartwarming way to mark the victory with her squad. This subtle yet profound tribute truly captured hearts. Through snippets on her Snapchat on May 5th, Dunne shared a video holding a box with a delicate “tiny tags” necklace adorned with the championship-winning date, April 20, 2024, etched on it. She affectionately referred to it as “the date we won championship (white heart),” encapsulating the significance of the historic moment.
At the banquet, Livvy – clad in a stunning pink floral print one-shoulder knot side wrap hem dress – gifted the “tiny bags” necklace to her team. In a video, Alexis Jeffrey – who recorded a career high 9.950 on bars at the NCAA Regional Final – showed off the elegant piece of jewel.
