The interesting thing to note here is that this is not the upcoming Xbox controller that has a new D-pad and a share button. This is the older version that comes with a Game Pass brochure inside the box. And the description clearly reads that it is compatible with Xbox Series X/S. So if this information is no longer a secret, why is Microsoft trying so hard to keep it?

Other Xbox Series S leaks in recent times

Interestingly, this is not the first Series S leak. Earlier, a user could purchase the new Series S controller, and there was video proof detailing the same.

Yet another leak came even before that reportedly showed a square version of the Xbox at a party and put up a photo of the new controller on Reddit. The post was taken down after some time, but by then it was too late. The description matched with the leaked images of the Series S console, strengthening the claims of its existence further.

With this being said, the Xbox Series X is all set to launch at a certain date in November. Reportedly, there was a rumored event scheduled for August, which never came to fruition.

Rumor has it that Microsoft’s biggest rival, Sony, will reveal the launch date and price for the PlayStation 5 on September 9. If that turns out to be true, an Xbox announcement won’t be far away, as it could take place either before or after the Sony event. The console war is at its peak right now, and it is time for the world to make a decision on this year’s winner.
