The ATP has suspended the tour for six weeks after the outbreak of coronavirus all over the world, especially at the tournament’s location. Subsequently, the players are uncertain about what to expect next. However, amid the global chaos, World No.6 Stefanos Tsitsipas has taken some time out to spread awareness about the COVID-19.

The outbreak of coronavirus is a major concern over the globe and has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The pace and ease at which any outbreak spreads, determine its scale. And Coronavirus is spreading like wildfires. Hence, Tsitsipas wants everyone to be serious about their health and hygiene.

“If we pay attention will we reduce the dispersion”: Stefanos Tsitsipas

Tsitsipas was preparing to start his campaign at the Sunshine Double in Indian Wells and Miami. However, coronavirus fears led to the cancellation of both events. Subsequently, he took social media to give a heartfelt message to his fans. He urged the people to not take coronavirus lightly.

“I want to tell you two things about the corona. If you’re young and healthy, and you’re not worried about yourself, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care! Because it is very contagious,” Tsitsipas said in a post on Twitter.

He explained that if anyone gets sick and gets in contact with others, their parents, their grandparents, or a friend might get stuck in a burden of health. And these people may be in danger. That is why he suggested not to think “it does not concern me. It concerns all of us.”

“Only if we pay attention will we reduce the dispersion. So what do we do? Wash hands constantly! And not in a hurry. Wash your hands and say twice inside you happy birthday to you,” he added.

The 21-year-old explained that this is how much time it takes to wash the hands properly. He further instructed the people at the conclusion of the video to “Stay at home and listen to the experts.”

We hope that the world fights against COVID-19 by keeping their hygiene proper. The outspread can certainly come to an end if the people follow the medical experts’ guidelines and hence prevent any further contagion by the coronavirus.
