Recently, he posted a tweet about how he was excited about the Truist Atlanta Open which got a lot of criticism as fans are being allowed to watch the event. Isner responded to a lot of those comments so it should come as no surprise that he has just responded to another one.

John Isner Responds
In a recent tweet, John Isner addressed a comment regarding the sports channels covering events during a pandemic. The comment said that sports channels have the same responsibility for safety as on-site organizers. The comment also suggested that they should not pay rights for unsafe events and that they should not promote them.
Also, the event in Atlanta was hashtagged which meant that it was an unsafe event. Isner could not let such a comment go unanswered. In his response, he talked about how people tweet with no knowledge as he said,

As you can see in the tweet that Isner responded to, the Adria Tour has been hashtagged. This was an exhibition event that was started by Novak Djokovic and it allowed fans to watch the event.

While many people did enjoy watching the event, it had some negative effects. Many people including the Serb himself got infected with the coronavirus that is spreading rapidly.
This is the reason why people are against the Truist Atlanta Open as they do not want something similar happening. After what happened with Adria Tour, organizers will take necessary measures to make sure it does not happen and hopefully, it won’t.
