Tony Ferguson was in a worse state than he expected

Bravo said it wasn’t his place to be. Especially when it was that crucial a moment. He said no one but the head coach or the striking coach should have gone in there keeping in mind that the new rules allowed only one coach in.

He added, “I’m going in there and at this point, he’s hurt and cut up. A lot of things are swirling through my head and I’m thinking ‘What is the best advice here?’ And it’s so quiet! And it was just so weird. I walk in and the first thing I notice is he’s cut up more than I could see from my vantage point. Maybe the best thing to do then was to stay on the outside and get through this with no more damage. I froze.”
