“People don’t know what we do here and they don’t even try to know. You saw this article that came out yesterday where this guy is talking about the health and safety and the hospitals it’s all lies. It’s not true. What this guy wrote in the New York Times isn’t true. Not fact at all.”

He added that there have been tons of stories. “You’re gonna have these people that have these opinions you know some people on this side, some people on that side. I don’t crack to that stuff. But it doesn’t mean that other people won’t crack.”

He directed his comments to California senator Dianne Feinstein, who released a statement expressing concern at the event which would have take place on tribal land.

White maintains he was good to go next week. He reiterated health and safety is the topmost priority for the UFC. It has been so for the past 20 years, even before the coronavirus popped up. The UFC President further adds that his company is the best in the world as they take everything into account and figure out how to make things happen safely.

White says he has a “Fight Island” ready and will begin transporting fighters there shortly. However, he indicated that he needs a thumbs up from the broadcaster. Will ESPN allow White to make “Fight Island” a reality?
