Eugenie Bouchard On Virtual Dates

In the talk with CNN Sport, Eugenie Bouchard was asked to talk about virtual dating and how she has been doing it very well. She said,

“I tweeted earlier that I would prefer a boyfriend in quarantine and that would be ideal instead of doing virtual dates. So nothing has quite stacked up to that but I think it’s been fun. I’ve done a virtual date for charity, I did it last week and also with my All In Challenge.”

For those who don’t know, the All In Challenge was an auction held by Genie to raise money to fight the coronavirus pandemic. The highest bidder would get an opportunity to sit in her player’s box and have dinner with her. It is scheduled to happen once the WTA Tour resumes.

She did come close doing it back in 2014 when she reached the final of the Wimbledon. Sadly, she lost in straight sets to Petra Kvitova at that time. She is probably waiting for the next opportunity so that she can finally win it.

That opportunity is going to come in August when the WTA Tour returns from its suspension. And in addition to that, she will also have a date with the highest bidder of the All In Challenge which is something she will definitely enjoy.
