However, despite everything he has achieved, he still faces plenty of criticism. The amount of pressure Joshua carries on his shoulders is unimaginable. He experienced this firsthand after his shock loss to Andy Ruiz Jr.

Joshua had to win the rematch, otherwise, his detractors were ready to write him off in an instant.

Anthony Joshua reveals its hard to ignore negative comments

AJ has admitted that the pressure and negative comments are hard to ignore, and it gets to him. Moreover, given his status, it comes with an added pressure of winning every single fight.

“I think that it’s hard to ignore it. I’m not going to lie and say that I don’t pay attention to any of that, because it’s impossible not to see the criticism. I started my social media on my own and, even though it has turned into a business page, I still handle a lot of it myself,” said Joshua, as reported by boxingscene.com.

Joshua acknowledged that there will be plenty of haters. However, what matters is that you don’t believe what they’re saying.

Anthony Joshua will carry the weight of his nation once again when he faces his mandatory challenger, Kubrat Pulev, later this year. Also, Joshua has signed a contract in principle to face Tyson Fury next year.

If Joshua and Fury get past their opponents, a fight between them will be the biggest the division has witnessed. Both fighters will get a chance to unify the belts, and will surely be a historic moment for British boxing.
