In a heartfelt video message on her Facebook page, the 2008 French Open Champion and former world number one Ana Ivanovic announced her retirement from the sport.

A fan favorite throughout her career, Ivanovic got married to the football legend Bastian Schweinsteiger and there have been speculations about her pregnancy as well. Currently Ana is ranked 63rd in the WTA Rankings and did not enjoy a fruitful 2016. Only 29, this abrupt end to her career has already got the twitter world buzzing.
