The former Napoli boss has already coached Rodriguez at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. The Italian was very keen to bring Rodriguez at Napoli too, but he eventually failed in doing so. Though the Columbian’s situation at Santiago Bernabeu haven’t been improving. As he’s seen as surplus to requirements. Hence Ancelotti believes there is a chance that Real Madrid might part ways with the former Bayern Munich loanee in January itself.

Though whether or not James Rodriguez wants to move to Everton is matter of uncertainty. As  the club isn’t a part of the European spectrum like his various other previous employers. While he does likes the idea of working under Carlo Ancelotti, a manager who actually wants him. Still, Napoli was a more attractive project in comparison to Everton for him to be pursued by.

It’s an unlikely move

We understand that Real Madrid would want to wait till the summer transfer window to make any decision on James Rodriguez. The former Monaco player is returning from a long injury layoff.  Hence with Isco and Gareth Bale not seen as favourites by Zinedine Zidane. And an ageing Luka Modric is reported to be on the move. In such a circumstance, Rodriguez might just have to chance to cement his position as the attacking outlet of Madrid’s midfield. While he can also be included in a deal for Paul Pogba to make an attractive offer for Manchester United.
