It’s a monumental event considering there is a possibility of witnessing first Chinese fighter winning a UFC title. While Weili Zhang will be aiming to make history, Jessica Andrade will aim to spoil the party for all the Chinese fight fans.

However, Jessica Andrade already has planned what’s next for her. The Brazilian champion aiming to make history herself after her fight with Weili Zhang. Talking about her future opponent Andrade said:

“After I win on Saturday, I will ask to face Valentina. I think Shevchenko is one of the best girls in all the divisions. She has faced Joana(Jedrzejczyk), Amanda(Nunes). I believe it would be a great test, so this is what I want. Hopefully by the end of the year or beginning of the next year.”

This is the champ-champ era in UFC. And all the fighters step into the octagon with one aim, which is they want to prove they are are the best in the world. And if a fighter is a two-division champion then that puts him or her in an elite club of fighters. And Andrade looks to do the same as she said:

“I want to test myself. Valentina is one of the best, so it would be a great test for me. If I’m not able to beat Shevchenko, I’ll at least be able to say that I tested myself and that I gave my best.”

Now Valentina Shevchenko is arguably the best Women fighter out there in UFC. She went the distance with Amanda Nunes and lost the match in a controversial split decision. She has been on a path of terror ever since that loss and on a collision course with Nunes. But it seems Shevchenko has another opponent ahead of her if Andrade gets the victory over Weili Zhang, which is easier said than done. Weili Zhang is on a 19 fight win streak and a serious threat to Andrade’s title reign.

Considering both Jessica Andrade and Weili Zhang are on a path to make history, we can expect a dog fight in UFC Fight Night Shenzen.
