Millman was supposed to face Italian tennis player Gianluca Mager. It would have been their first meeting and the Australian number two player would have fancied his chances of proceeding further into the event. Due to Millman’s withdrawal, German tennis player Peter Gojowczyk will replace him and compete in the opening round match.

As there is yet a lot of tennis to play in the season, Millman will do all it takes to get fit and compete in the remainder of the tournaments. In this season so far, the Australian athlete has played a number of tournaments on the clay courts. Although he has not been able to go far, he has registered some impressive wins.
