

Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier is the most notorious rivalry in UFC history. Jones and DC has stepped into the octagon twice and even that wasn’t enough to calm things down between these two. Even to this point both Jones and DC can’t stand each other and try to diminish the other with every chance they get.
However, it’s undeniable that both Jon Jones and DC are two highly competitive athlete who recognize the greats in the sports. Jones and DC may be the sworn enemies of each other but they do have mutual respects for the other’s achievements and skills.
in UFC 241, Daniel Cormier lost the heavyweight title to Stipe Miocic in a devastating manner. however, that is not the only thing DC lost in that period. Cormier’s step father, Joseph Cormier lost his battle against cancer, which left another huge grief for Cormier to deal with.

And the irony is, DC’s opponent from UFC 241, Stipe Miocic won the heavyweight title, and also his father defeated cancer making the win even more precious for Stipe.
Embracing the loss, Cormier earlier tweeted:

Many from the MMA community have shared their well wishes for DC and his family in the moment of sorrow. And also with that Cormier just received an unexpected prayer for him and his family from his rival Jon Jones. Jones offered his sympathy to DC by saying:

Not so long ago, when DC lost to Stipe, Jones had a few harsh words for DC, and now with this gesture Jones will for sure win many fans’ hearts. Now the rivalry between these two inside the octagon may be far from over. However, It’s heart touching to see Jon Jones trying to offer his sympathy when Daniel Cormier is down.
