Jon Jones Mocks Stipe Miocic’s Tactics Against Francis Ngannou

Francis Ngannou vs Stipe Miocic was one of the most anticipated matches of the year. The fight was for the heavyweight title and was a rematch of their 2018 bout.

Ngannou won the fight and the belt after he knocked out Miocic in the second round. Post Ngannou’s win, people from all around the globe voiced their opinion on the fight, from congratulating Ngannou to criticizing Miocic. One among them was none other than Jon Jones, who is eyeing the belt Ngannou has just won.

Jon Jones is all set to make his UFC heavyweight debut, and now his first fight is most probably going to be against Ngannou. UFC president Dana White had already announced that whoever won the Miocic vs Ngannou fight would face Jon Jones.

Now, Jones has commented about the fight and his potential opponents striking power.

“You guys get so impressed by the guy with the knockout power. I’ve been proving for over a decade that punching hard means shit.”

When asked about the potential fight and how he would deal with the super striking power of ‘The Predator’, Jones wrote, “Bro, I’ve gotten out of the way from faster punches. And I have a pretty solid chin. Let’s not forget fight IQ, reach, speed, distance.”

In his reply, Jones also took a sly dig at former champion Miocic.

I’m not going to just stand there like Stipe did.”

Everyone expected the Miocic vs Ngannou title fight to be a great one; however, Ngannou completely dominated Miocic and it was all over by the second round itself.
