Jordan Burroughs is considered to be the greatest US Wrestler of all time. His records and his accolades work in favor of that argument. Burroughs recently has come full circle into his international wrestling career. He started wrestling at 74 kg and eventually moved on to 79 kg. But now he is back at 74 kg since the new Paris Olympics weight division list.

Recently after successfully coming back at the 74 kg, a fresh challenge stood in front of Jordan Burroughs. On the road to Paris, Jordan will be facing three challenges, out of which he has already passed two with flying colors. The successful weight cut and the DA Kunaev Tournament proved that Jordan Burroughs is ready to dominate again. The only challenge left right now is the domestic Olympic trials.

A golden reminder before Paris Olympics
It has been a while since Burroughs made it to the top of the podium at the Olympics. The last time he was at the Olympic podium was in 2012. In an exclusive interview with Olympics.com Burroughs said,??The lanyard is extremely dirty but it’s beautiful, man, because it tells a story and it tells of a time in my life where I was able to do something really hard.? He then continued, ?Seeing that gives me a constant reminder that I can do it again and I’m capable of doing it again.? The London Olympic gold medal is the “golden reminder” of his potential. This might be the last Olympic for Burroughs and he is looking forward to making it the most memorable.?
The wrestler has said it is his four children who are responsible for the condition of that medal. They often take it out and drop it, Burroughs doesn?t mind it though. He hopes to inspire them through his wrestling journey and also takes them for training. He said he wants his kids to feel the stimulation of difficulty so they can be tough. The availability of abundance and everything being easy won?t build toughness in character. Coming from the working class it is a contrast between him and his children.
