Ever since Jorge Masvidal has won the BMF title, one question has intrigued the fans very much, which is what is next for the BMF titleholder. Does he wait for the outcome of the fight between Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman, and fight the winner for the welterweight title? Does he get a super fight with Conor McGregor? Or does he fight Nate Diaz in a rematch?

Masvidal has some great options ahead of him no matter what fight he decides to take. However, there is one more fight for which Jorge Masvidal has been campaigning for a meaningful period. A fight with one of the best boxers of this generation, Canelo Alvarez.

Well, he confirms his intentions to fight Alvarez again on The Dan Lebatard show. Addressing Alvarez’s comment that UFC fighters are not good enough to present a challenge to him, Masvidal said:

“It would not be a challenge. and I agree. If he was coming on MMA, he would not be a challenge. Cause I have thrown 10,000 left high kicks in a month and he has never done one. It’s kind of the same thing in boxing, where I throw a million jabs, he is throwing 10 million cause all his focus has been Boxing. That being said though I am gonna put his a** to sleep, I definitely feel that. I am actually bigger, maybe I don’t hit harder, but I am definitely bigger.”

“I consider myself 10 times the athlete he is, just because of MMA in general though. All the strength, speed, and power that we have to generate to throw one kick is like throw 10 right hands. if I could shift those energy blocks and minimize them and bring them down to boxing where I am just throwing 80-90 punches a round feel I would hurt this dude. I definitely make a statement.” continued Masvidal.

Jorge Masvidal is coming off a win over Nate Diaz in UFC 244. He is likely to fight the winner of Covington vs Usman next. As far as the super fight with Canelo Alvarez goes, fans have to wait and see how things unfold.
