Jorge Masvidal made his presence felt at recently concluded UC 246. The PPV marked the return of Conor McGregor after his long layoff since the loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov. Now that he is back in the game with an impressive victory over Donald Cerrone, there are a few very intriguing fights ahead of him.

The rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov is the one Conor wants right now. The bad blood between the two has managed to continue even after the first encounter, assuring that the rematch will be even bigger. Apart from the rematch with the lightweight champion, Conor has a potential super fight against the BMF, Jorge Masvidal.

Fans want the fight between Conor and Masvidal. The BMF himself is campaigning for a showdown with Conor. However, Masvidal believes that Conor does not want the fight.

Jorge Masvidal more interested in Kamaru Usman

Jorge Masvidal was present to witness the return of Conor McGregor at UFC 246. It seems he was also hoping for a callout from Conor after the emphatic victory. However, the vague post-fight callout of Conor has Masvidal thinking that he does not want the BMF title fight. In a recent interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Masvidal stated:

“He does not want it, man. Right there he could have cut the sickest promo of all time. It could have been a good promo. And personally, the Tiger needs to get fed, So I am gonna have to get in the cage, I am getting bored already of not fighting.”

Masvidal even said that if Conor does not want to fight then he will be moving on to the next one, the welterweight title fight. Masvidal showed interest in a welterweight title fight against current champion Kamaru Usman.

“I am leaning right now towards Usman. The way he(Usman) has been talking the shit he has been talking. But if Conor wants it, we will get it done. But I am not gonna sit here and entertain bullshit. I just want to scrap” explained Masvidal.

At this moment it can not be said who fights Conor next. Khabib takes of Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 and a lot will depend on the outcome of that fight. If Khabib wins against Tony then Conor vs Khabib rematch is going to be a huge fight. If Khabib or Tony pulls out of the fight then Conor might fight for the title in April. Hence it is safe to assume that Conor will see how things turn out between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson before deciding who he wants to fight next.
