UFC 245 has potentially become the card of the year with the addition of a couple of bantamweight fights. UFC 245, which features 3 title fights, now has former featherweight champion, Jose Aldo making his bantamweight debut against a former title contender, Marlon Moraes and Urijah Faber taking on Petr Yan.

Former champion, Jose Aldo did announce that he would drop down to bantamweight and even call out the bantamweight champion, Henry Cejudo. However, he takes on Marlon Moraes who fought Cejudo for the bantamweight title. Jose Aldo lost his last fight to Alexander Volkanovski, who is going to fight for the title next. Before that, however, Aldo beat Jeremy Stephens and Renato Carneiro. Now it does make sense that Jose Aldo wants to leave featherweight division since he had a long title reign in the division and at the moment he is unlikely to get to another title shot at featherweight. However, Aldo coming down to bantamweight to fight one of the most furious strikers in the division might work against him.

Other than the fight between Jose Aldo and Marlon Moraes, fans get to see another bantamweight fight between UFC veteran, Urijah Faber, and Petr Yan. While Yan is on an 8 fight win streak in the division, Urijah Faber came out of retirement in July this year against a young prospect Ricky Simon. Even Faber was gunning for a fight with the two-division champion, Henry Cejudo. Even the champion, Henry Cejudo showed some interest to fight Urijah Faber. However, Faber takes on the ranked 4 bantamweight, Petr Yan next.

Apart from these two exciting bantamweight fights, UFC 245 also features a title fight between Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title, Colby Covington vs Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title and Amanda Nunes vs Germaine de Randamie for the women’s bantamweight title.
