Journalist Demands An Apology From Rafael Nadal, “Rafa Disrespected Me”

Right after his defeat at ATP World Tour Finals 2019 on Monday, the journalist, Ubaldo Scanagatta asked Rafael Nadal whether he was distracted from tennis because of his recent wedding to his longtime girlfriend. Upon receiving the nonsensical question, Rafa fumed, “That’s BullSh*t.”

The Journalist, Ubaldo Scanagatta termed Nadal’s reaction to be ‘rude and silly’ and he demands an apology from Rafa for his behavior in London.  

“I was really surprised by Rafael Nadal’s reaction to a question that was quite innocent and totally legitimate. A reaction I consider unbecoming of him, rude and silly. I sincerely hope he will extend his apology for this behavior. Respect remains paramount, no matter if you are the greatest champion or the new kid on the block. In front of everybody, Rafa disrespected me,” the journalist penned. ( as per Ubitennis)

On Wednesday, World Number one, Rafael Nadal played a rollercoaster match at ATP World Tour Finals 2019 against Daniil Medvedev. He was trailing behind by 5-1 and also saved a match point in the particular game, the phenomenal Spanish warrior made an incredible comeback and sealed a 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 victory in London.

Later, Rafa spoke about his 5-1 trail in the deciding set. “At that moment you’re thinking probably in the next five minutes you’ll be in the locker room,” the Spaniard said.

Honestly, I’ve been super lucky. That’s the real thing,” Rafa said post his unreal win against the Russian machine.

With this victory, Rafa’s hopes to conclude year as World Number one remain alive. Novak Djokovic must win the title at the ATP Finals to have a chance to conclude the year on top. If Nadal advances to the final, Nadal will finish the year as World Number one regardless of what the Serb does.
