Del Potro has been plagued by injuries since winning his only Grand Slam, and has had three operations on a wrist problem, which left him struggling to use his backhand. After having an impressive 2018, and reaching a career high ranking, Del Potro will be disappointed with the injury hiatus. The Argentine has had a career plagued with injuries, and might have achieved far more glory, had it not been for the number of injuries in his career.
