Juan Martin Del Potro talked about the future of tennis after the ‘Big four’ retires in an interview with Tennis365.
The ‘Tower of Tandil’ suggested that the future of tennis is not as dark as it seems after Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray retire. He also suggested that he is not afraid of the ‘Big 4’.

Juan Martin Del Potro said in a statement, “Tennis will recover when they retire because the next big stars will come up.”
Del Potro continued, “Tennis recycles all the time. Might not be the same as before but we thought like this before with Sampras/Agassi but the sport always comes back.”
Juan Martin Del Potro suggested that he is not scared am not scared of ‘Big 4’ and can beat them at his best.
He further added, “I am not scared of the big four. I know how good they are and I know if 100 per-cent I can beat them. I have beaten them all in the past.”
“I was close to beating Novak in Rome – I had two match points. I know the tennis will be even when I am best – but not at the moment because I am coming back from injury, but I love to play against them,” said Juan Martin Del Potro.
Juan Martin Del Potro feels that his matches against the big four have been special and he aims to cherish them lifelong after he retires. He said, “It is a special opportunity and opponent – and that’s what I want to remember after retiring.”
Juan Martin Del Potro also talked about being at the Queen’s Club Championships. “I love this tournament. Unfortunately, I couldn’t play these past few years but this time is a different moment for me. I want to be ready for Wimbledon and this tournament is a special one, so I am very excited to be here, “ said the Argentine.
