Juan Martin Del Potro Invites Roger Federer to Play a Match in His Country

World Number three, Roger Federer will be traveling to Argentina this November after he accepted the invitation for a match from the Argentine legend, Juan Martin del Potro. The ATP men will be playing a match in Buenos Aires on November 20, 2019. 

Roger Federer announced his Argentina tour on social media. “Hello everybody! Roger Federer here. I just wanted to tell you I am so excited to come back to Argentina, Buenos Aires. I will play my good friend and legend, Juan Martin dell Petro on November 20th at Parque Roca. I hope I see you three, take care, everybody, bye-bye,” the Swiss announced.

Its a pleasure for the ‘Tower of Tandil’, Del Potro to play Federer in his home country and he and invited his countrymen to watch their battle in Buenos Aires.

“Hello everyone, I wanted to tell you some good news. I will play again in Argentina against one of the best tennis players in history and my friend Roger Federer. I invite you all to come and enjoy the great match between us on November 20 at Parque Roca. See you soon,” Del Potro expressed his excitement to play Federer.

Federer will be playing in Argentina for the second time. Previously he played in the year 2012 and more than 20,000 tennis fans turned up to see the Swiss legend swing his racquet in their city.

This year, Federer will be touring around South America and will be playing in Mexico, Colombia and Chile. Also, he will play one of the exhibitions matches with the German, Alexander Zverev in Bogota, Colombia.

In the month of June this year, Juan Martin del Potro was hit with a knee injury in England. Since then, the Argentine hasn’t played any matches as he underwent knee surgery. He will be stepping on the professional courts of Sweden and Austria in October this year. Presently he is ranked World Number 72.
