Delpo is currently recovering from yet another surgery he had, of his left wrist, earlier this year. ‘Tower of Tandil’- as they famously call him- also split with his trainer Martiniano Orazi.

“I wanted to tell you that Franco and Martiniano are no longer part of my team,” wrote Del Potro on his official Facebook account.

“I’m really grateful for the years we’ve worked together and I wish them the very best. I’m also thankful to their families for their warm support that goes beyond tennis.”

One of the most popular players in the world, who also broke Federer’s 41 match unbeaten streak at the US Open, has not yet decided his return date on the tour. The Argentine could only manage to play in Sydney and Miami this year, before getting operated.

Once considered as the future number one, it has been an unfortunate phase of his otherwise sparkling career. We just hope Del Potro recovers soon enough, and obliges his fans with some more breathtaking tennis.
