Julian Lewis is a quarterback at Carrollton High School. A five-star recruit and one of the top-ranked candidate for the college football class of 2025. Lewis has given a verbal commitment to the USC Trojans in August. Today Julian took twitter to share his recent achievement of winning a position in TCA All- state selection, saying “Thank you @Atl_TD_Club for the Preseason All-State selection! More work to do! Go Trojans”. Although it’s an enormous achievement for Julian but his tweet on his recent achievement might create a sense of tension for the Buffs, as Deion Sanders wanted him badly. With Shedeur Sanders heading towards the NFL draft next season, Colorado needs a strong QB.

There were speculations about Julian’s transfer to the Colorado Buffs, but there was still no confirmation from either side. Moving forward with his junior year, he’s been turning heads at different camps like Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, and Oregon, leaving USC’s Lincoln Riley and Colorado’s Deion Sanders on alert. Despite this, On3 and 247Sports have recently lowered Lewis’s ranking from 5-star to 4-star recruit. However, anticipation surrounds Lewis’ final decision as he is been spotted visiting the Buffs. QB Julian Lewis last year’s gameplay for the Carrollton High School was quite exceptional. Julian threw for 3,094 yards, and scored 48 touchdowns, with only two interceptions in the overall match, completion of  66.4% passes. No wonder, he is one of the top contenders for the 2025 season transfer portal.

Few months back Julian Lewis visited team Colorado at Boulder for understanding their key aspects and what Coach Prime has to offer. However, after the visit, JuJu mentioned it was mainly the university tour following his meet with Deion Sanders and Shedeur Sanders. Although he also visited Alabama, Auburn, and Ohio State last fall, there are speculations about him joining the Buffs.

Out of all the campus visits, Julian Lewis appears most enthusiastic about Deion Sanders’ project with the Colorado Buffaloes and the attention they receive because of Coach Prime’s influence. Lewis mentioned his admiration for Buffs quarterback Shedeur Sanders and his outstanding performance at the FBS level. He went as far as sharing a picture on Instagram of himself on a throne, being handed a football by the Shedeur. It’s difficult to overlook the impact of Deion Sanders, but Lewis’ recent tweet could pose problems for the Buffs’ future in finding a skilled QB.
