Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov recently sent out a heartfelt message about being a good human being. The former world number 3 states that it does not matter who you are unless you are a good human being. He prefers to be “human first and then anything else” as he stated in the recent interview.

I’d say you could be the greatest tennis player in the world, but if you’re not a human then I’m sorry it doesn’t really go in my books very well. I’d say human first and then anything else,” he said.

Dimitrov is known to be humble on and off the court. He believes that there is nothing special about him at all. He just believes that everyone is the same, and he’s just better at tennis.

“We’re not different than anybody else. We just happen to be good at tennis,” said the Bulgarian phenom.

The player is also ready to accept that life is much greater than the court. He understands that he won’t be playing tennis forever, and someday it will be time to bid goodbye to this small part of his life.

Seeded 14 in the US Open, he holds the qualities to go all the way to the finals this time. In terms of achievements, he is already the record holder in Bulgarian tennis. Being the sole Bulgarian player with an ATP title. He also happens to be the only one to be included in the Top-10 in the ATP rankings.

However, the only feather in his cap which is missing is a Grand Slam final. Hopefully, he can do justice to his talents and fight for a place in the finals. Clinching it would be the perfect cherry on top.
