Most recently, a Kansas City Royals rising star was involved in a special moment with his father in the stands.

The Royals are languishing at the bottom of the AL Central with a bad season looming. But fans were treated to a special moment created by one of their star’s and his father. 

Kansas City Royals’ Bobby Witt Jr. hit a foul ball that was caught by his father

Baseball has seen a few one-in-a-million moments over the years. Most recently, Kansas City Royals’ Bobby Witt Jr. hit a foul ball into the stands and his father caught it. This was during an away game against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. The stadium has a capacity of more than 40,000 people. It was a massive coincidence that the Royals infielder’s father ended up catching the ball in the crowd. Furthermore, according to MLB.com’s Anne Rogers, Witt Jr. has even signed the ball for his father. 

In a Tweet, Rogers said, “Bobby Witt Jr. hit a foul ball to his dad in the stands last night. Junior dated and signed it: ‘Hit by Bobby Witt Jr. Caught by Bobby Witt Sr.’ #Royals”.
