The Russian tennis player, Karen Khachanov has joined forces with the Swedish professional tennis coach, Fredrik Rosengren. He will continue to train under his current-coach Vedran Martic. 

“Glad to announce a new member of Team Khachanov, coach Fredrik Rosengren. He is a well-known specialist with a great reputation, who worked with top players all over the world. Also, we keep on working with my coach Vedran Martic, who’s helped me to achieve top-10 ATP ranking. And we’re not going to stop,” Khachanov announced. 

The Russian moved to Croatia when he was 15-years-old and since then Khachanov has been training under Martic, but in between, he was also coached by Galo Blanco in Barcelona, Spain. Khachanov and Blanco parted ways in 2017 and then he reunited with his former coach, Martic. While, in his home country of Russia, Khachanov was coached by Igor Bitsenko. 

Khachanov’s new edition, Fredrik Rosengren has coaching experience of 30 years. He has trained several generations of tennis which include tennis stars such as Magnus Norman and Robin Soderling. 

Also, he supported the Brit, Kyle Edmund to reach the semifinals at Australian Open 2018. Rosengren coached five players into the Top 10 of the ATP Rankings and 20 singles titles are won by his players. 

The baseliner, Karen Khachanov, and Vedran Martic were successful in clinching the Rolex Paris Masters title in 2018 after the Russian beat Novak Djokovic in the finals. 

This year, Khachanov reached his first-ever Grand Slam quarterfinals at Roland Garros 2019. He defeated the defending semifinalist at the French Open, Juan Martin del Potro and later lost the defending and eventual finalist, Dominic Thiem. Post that, he entered the top-10 in the ATP Rankings for the first time as World Number nine. 

In 2019, he reached his first tournament semifinal of the year after beating Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals of the Montreal Masters and later lost to compatriot, Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals of Rogers Cup.
