The Czech Republican, Karolina Pliskova has arrived for the Mutua Madrid Open 2019 and the fifth seed will open against the Ukrainian, Dayana Yastremska. Before coming to Madrid, a few days ago, she withdrew from her home tournament in Prague.
At Prague Open, Pliskova was seeded as number one, but a viral illness compelled her to pull out from the tournament. Upon her withdrawal, the Czech Republic’s largest multimedia published false statements about Karolina Pliskova. And the withdrawal of the ‘homegrown’ talent from the home tournament was considered impolite.
“I would like to respond to some of the untruths that I have captured today on idnes.cz (the media group) and put them right. The article deals with the fact that I am unpopular with Czech fans, also because I checked out the tournament in Prague, did not make a press conference and book signing,” Karolina Pliskova replied.

“I could ruin my entire career and most of all my health. After the check-out, I offered the tournament that I would do the autograph signing and the meeting with the fans. They said nothing was needed,” Karolina Pliskova continued.
The Czech media group articulate her to be an unpopular personality amongst the Czech crowd, but however, the World Number five, Karolina Pliskova evinced their statements to be futile. “Even though I was there three days in a row, I met a lot of fans, made an autograph session, talked to the media, I was cheering on the sera. And then this false article comes out, full of lies”, She mentioned.

“Maybe I’m working on you cold, and I don’t care and I don’t care. I’m not a lamb that goes with the crowd. But the fact that I do not overdo and do everything just to get people at any cost does not mean I don’t care about the fans. I firmly believe that there are those who understand this and know how it really is,” Karolina Pliskova said.
