This year has not been favorable for Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian maestro has been sidelined since mid-August, participating in only two matches. He was forced to leave the pitch during his club’s Premier League season opener against Burnley in the 23rd minute. While the midfielder has yet to return to action, he has become the subject of transfer speculation.

Apparently, Al Nassr is looking to buy a new midfielder as Luis Castro is dissatisfied with Seko Fofana’s display. Hence, in the upcoming winter transfer window, the Saudi Pro League giants will be seeking a fresh midfielder, with Kevin de Bruyne emerging as the top contender. The Knights of Najd are also open to moving for Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammate, Casemiro.

Notably, De Bruyne’s contract expires in the summer of 2025 and is valued at $75 million as per Transfermarkt. Al Nassr might need to break the bank to acquire his services. Additionally, City is also open to selling the 32-year-old. But they shouldn’t worry about finding a replacement for their magician, as Julian Alvarez will perfectly fill De Bruyne’s shoes.

Additionally, he also helped Phil Foden score City’s second goal. Be that as it may, this aforementioned stat clearly suggests that the player is ready to take up the attacking role of De Bruyne. Certainly, Pep Guardiola would be looking to utilize Alvarez’s potential in the upcoming fixtures.
