Coming back to tennis, Bouchard began the year by competing in the Australian Open qualifiers but lost in the second round. She later lost in the opening round in Lyon. She recently underwent surgery for a torn subscapularis on her right shoulder. Due to that, she did not feature at the French Open and eventually pulled out of the Wimbledon Championships too.
The Canadian had her best season in 2014. During that year, she made it to the semifinals of the Australian Open, followed by the French Open. Later, at the Wimbledon Championships, she was the finalist. After that, she made it to the fourth round of the US Open, which to date has been her best performance. Fans will hope to see the Canadian recover fully and see her back on the tennis courts.
