The 2020 offseason has been filled with uncertainty due to the catastrophic COVID-19 pandemic. The ongoing pandemic enforced a host of changes in preseason activities. Players, including rookies, arrived late for training camp and the entire preseason was canceled. In addition to that, players were given the option to forgo the ongoing NFL season and opt-out.

In the face of so much adversity, the NFL is all set to resume in September. All 32 NFL Teams are gearing up for a peculiar season ahead. There have been various additions and departures over the last few months. There have been some major roster changes (Tom Brady to Tampa Bay, and DeAndre Hopkins to Arizona Cardinals amongst others).

As we edge closer to the 2020 NFL season opener, let’s take a look at some of the top sets of wide receivers in the league. Does your team rank on the list?

Over the last couple of years, some top-class receivers have played in the NFL. From DeAndre Hopkins and Julio Jones to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, the crop of NFL wideouts seems to grow year after year. NFL network’s Cynthia Frelund has ranked teams in the above compilation on the basis of the quality of their wide receivers.

To summarise, the Kansas City Chiefs come in at number three on that ranking list. The likes of Sammy Watkins and Tyreek Hill both impressed last season as the Chiefs ended a 50-year wait for a Lombardi. The team in the second position on the list is Mike McCarthy’s Dallas Cowboys outfit.

Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup both thrived under Dak Prescott’s leadership last season. Both wide receivers crossed the 1,000 receiving yards mark. The Cowboys will have another weapon on their roster in 2020 in the form rookie wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. The youngster had a terrific year with the Oklahoma Sooners and emerged as a first-round pick for the Cowboys earlier this year.

But the team that topped Frelund’s ranking list were the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady will be surrounded by world-class talent in the form of the deadly duo, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Both wideouts thrived in Bruce Arians’ aggressive style of offense last season. The duo will certainly benefit from Brady’s arrival in place of the inconsistent Jameis Winston.
