Lazio in Shock as Bielsea Bails 2 Days into the Job

Lazio fans hadn’t even properly celebrated the fact that they were getting a new manager before Marcelo Bielsa turned their offer down, leaving them in shock and wonder as to what had happened.

On Thursday, the club announced that the 60 year old former Argentina manager will be the new manager of their side. Known for his aggression on and off the pitch, the fans were excited to see his arrival at the club.

But as things stand, Bielsa had resigned as the manager for the team after being in-charge of the Capital’s side for 2 days. In the latest reports, officials from Lazio tweeted:

We note with surprise of the resignation of Mr Marcelo Bielsa, also on behalf of its employees, in clear violation of the commitments undertaken with the contracts signed last week and regularly deposited with the League and the FIGC with their required procedures.

The Company reserves all actions to protect its rights. Entrusts the management of the team in the final preparatory retreat to Mr Simone Inzaghi.

According to reports, Bielsa is eyeing a return to his post as the manager of the Argentina national team, a post vacated by his pupil Gerardo Martino. It’ll be interesting to see how the story unfolds for the team and where Marcelo Bielsa finally lands up!
