Apart from Saina and Sindhu, the other Indian shuttlers to take part in the exhibition event were Super Series champion and current world number 2 Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy and B Sai Praneeth.

Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei are fierce rivals in the singles competition. But they played as partners in this exhibition game. The game between all four superstars was dubbed the clash between Indian Tigress and The Lions.

There was a moment when Lee Chong tried to play his trademark smash. Unfortunately the Indian duo won the point. The rules stated that they were not allowed to hit ‘too hard’. In the end, Sindhu and Saina went on to clinch the game.

Gade though had the better of Gopi this time around by beating him and his partner 9-4. During the game, Gopichand kept encouraging his rookie partner. He gave her more chance to showcase her skill despite her mistimed shots. Another highlight was a triples match. It was Sindhu, Srikanth and Hidayat on one side and HS Prannoy, Yong Dae and Nehwal on the other end
