In the fourth quarter of the game between San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, the Lakers had an injury scare when Avery Bradley had to walk off in what looked like a lower leg injury.

Lakers reporter Mike Trudell confirmed after the match that the X Ray reports on Bradley’s leg were negative and he also quoted Lakers coach Frank Vogel as saying the shooting guard was “fine.”

“He (Bradley) got kicked around the knee area, but he says he’s fine,” Vogel said after the match.

These reports so far suggest that Avery Bradley’s injury should be day-to day at most.

Both Spurs and Lakers were coming into the game with a 4-1 record into the game. The 103-96 victory for the Lakers meant that this is their fifth straight victory of the season after losing on the opening night to local rivals Clippers.

The victory was led by LeBron James, who completed his 83rd career triple double with 21 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds, along with Anthony Davis, who had 25 points, 2 assists and 11 rebounds.

Coach Frank Vogel credited their defence for the victory and said that defensive part in the game is extremely important to win games.

“Our defence carried us throughout the game,” he said. “We can go hot and cold offensively, but if you are a great defensive team, it’s always going to keep you in the game, bouild leads and sustain runs.” I feel like that was the case tonight. Few guys made some timely offensive plays. Avery Bradley was great offensively. Dwight (Howard) came up with some big buckets, and played a terrific game at both ends. KCP hit two big shots in the game, which for a guy struggling, was great to see him step up at a time when we needed him and we were able to seal a victory.
