Preview & predictions

In spite of the absence of Anthony Davis and LeBron James, the team from Los Angeles showed that they are still quite a force with a 125-111 against Oklahoma City Thunder. Amidst trade rumours, Kyle Kuzma showed he can deliver for the Lakers. The 24-year old scored a game-high 36 points against Oklahoma and will once again be in the centre of things on Monday. The win against Oklahoma took the Lakers’ winning streak to eight games as they keep themselves on top of the Western Conference.

For Cleveland, the season hasn’t been as good as the Lakers. Their 12-27 record places them 13th in the Eastern Conference and their 0.308 record is the fourth-worst in NBA. With or without their star duo, the Lakers look much stronger than the Cavaliers and Monday’s game is expected to be on those terms.
