Former World No. 1 Serena Williams has proved to be one of the greatest players in the modern era. Her performances have raised the bar for tennis players. Serena has enjoyed rivalries with many greats of the game. Much to her advantage, the American has come out on top in these matchups.
With the years gone by, Williams has gone through the various stages of life, right from beginning her career as a teenager when she won her first Grand Slam at the US Open in 1999. She was a young 17-year-old at that time. Fast forward 18 years from that moment in 1999 and Serena won her latest Grand Slam at the Australian Open 2017.

In recent times, the American has shown a dip in form. Only this time, the concern is with regard to her fitness. Naturally, with the years gone by, any individual will go through such phases in life. The older one gets, the speed and swiftness in an individual begins to diminish.

Recently, former Italian player Raffaella Reggi highlighted that aspect and stated, “Serena Williams has lost a bit of physical shine compared to the best years. But if she manages to get it right, she can easily say her. Already today she cannot be excluded from the shortlist.”
