Fans were already upset about the pay-to-win skins, high cheater counts, and bugs. This led them to put in countless requests, asking to make things better in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. So, Activision was on the lookout to bring one positive change that could restore love in the community.
After multiple brainstorming sessions, the franchise decided to honor devoted Call Of Duty players. For that, they released dedicated cosmetics for streamers like TimTheTatMan, Nickmercs, and more. However, this still turned against them as they felt the bundles were overrated.

Nick received a dedicated bundle that featured two operator skins, weapon blueprints, weapon charms, and more. For 2400 COD Points, fans could enjoy the bundle available across multiple games. And well, Tim had a similar structure, so his fanbase was equally happy. But as time passed, things started to rot as fans complained about the bundles being of no use. They added negative comments like the streamers had shifted their focus to other games and that they barely cared about Call Of Duty.

So, the MFAM owner had to step in and shut them down by saying mentioning the little relation. He felt that users were upset with Activision for various things regarding Call Of Duty, so trash-talking about operator skins was of no use. He felt “If this thing came out two years ago, everybody would have been so happy about it.”

So, he urged fans to not mix up two things and pose unnecessary backlash over him and Timthetatman. After all, they were honored for their work, and the skin made no difference to the skill set or game mechanics.
