The 2022 LPGA Tour is off to an incredible start, with Danielle Kang winning the Tournament of Champions. Now, the focus shifts to the next event, which is the first full-field event of the season. The Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio is currently underway at Boca Rio Golf Club in Boca, Florida. 

Notably, this is the second event of the 2022 LPGA Tour season. It has star players in the field, like the Korda sisters, Danielle Kang, Lexi Thompson, and others. More importantly, the prize purse of the event is higher than the last week’s Tournament of Champions.

The prize purse for the 2022 Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio

The 2022 Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio is currently underway and has had an enthralling start. Notably, the total prize purse for the event is all set for $2 million. The winner will receive the standard 15 percent share from the total purse according to the LPGA Tour’s prize money distribution chart; $300,000.

Apart from monetary gains, the winner will receive other perks, too. The winner will get 500 Race to the CME Globe points with a two-year exemption on the LPGA Tour and a place in the other prominent tournaments of the season. Hence, players will aim to finish at the top and get these benefits along with the $300,000 prize money and trophy.

Notably, there is a 36 hole cut for the event, and only the top 70 and ties will make it to the weekend from the total 120 players. Additionally, only the players who make the cut will receive a share from the total prize money purse. Here’s the complete breakdown of the prize money from the winner’s place to last place.
