Lexi Thompson’s dry run on the tour continues as she finished eighth in the CME Group Tour Championship that concluded recently. The search for her next title will continue into the next season, and she wants to be fully prepared for it. And for that, she has her putting arrangement sorted out.

Thompson’s biggest nemesis on the course seems to be her putting skills. They appear to have cost her dearly, as she finished T-2 at the Pelican Women’s Championship after losing a closely contested battle. She stumbled on the last day, as she missed a four-foot putt to win, and then missed it again to lose the playoff.

Earlier in the year too, she lost the US Women’s Open after a collapse in her putting form. So, this off-season, Thompson will be looking to work on her Achilles heel and emerge stronger than ever next year. And in preparation for that, she has her newest putting mat.

During an older interview, Lexi Thompson was asked about the putting set up at her house. She replied, “It’s the perfect practice putting mat. It’s got the bigger holes and the smaller holes with the lines on it.”

And when asked where in her house it’s placed, she said, “Oh, it’s right in my living room. Just stares at me. So, I’m like, ‘I guess I should putt!'”. She went on to explain how she practices on it all the time and said, “I have the TV on, but it’s in a different room, so I can’t see it. But, oh yeah, I love it. I can put some music on, just work on my stroke and it’s good. I love it.”
