Nelly Korda recently was called as a guest on a podcast where they asked her about handling the pressure and fame. “Yeah, I mean you also learn from like, other people, I mean, like Naomi Osaka,” said Nelly. “You don’t even know what is gonna happen with the girl that just won the US Open. She has all this fame, and you don’t know what’s going to happen, but you know, a prime example is Osaka. Has she just shot up into stardom, and it’s super hard for her.”

Nelly further explained that fame has its pro and cons. However, she also said that everything in life does have pros and cons, and she enjoys being in the limelight and wants to inspire the next generation.
“So it’s tough. It honestly has its pros and cons. Everything does in life. I mean, I enjoy it. I love it and inspiring the next generation, and I love being out there, and you know, that’s what I work for. But, you know, it’s hard to.”

What has also helped her is the fact that Korda has a sporting environment at her home as her dad was a tennis player while her sister is also a professional golfer and her brother a tennis player. No doubt, having sportspersons around certainly helps, something many athletes don’t get.
