At the end of four quarters on Friday night, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles could not be separated at the end of four quarters and was forced to extra time. The game had a lot of talk about two players before the start- LeBron James and Luka Doncic- one a proven veteran, another considered to be one in the future. The master and the disciple. And both lived up to the occasion. While LeBron registered 39 points, 12 assists, 16 rebounds, Doncic had 31 points, 13 assists, 15 rebounds. With this he now has 10 career triple doubles and he is just 20. He also became the youngest player to register a triple double against Lakers.
He also joined LeBron James (5 times), Oscar Robertson (3 times), and Magix Johnson (2 times) as the only players in NBA history to record multiple 30-point triple-doubles before turning 21-years old.
All this becomes gains a lot more attention when it is noted that Doncic hurt his head during the game and continued in spite of it. He was reported to be receiving treatment in the breaks towards the end of the game. It is reported that he has avoided concussion. However, ESPN’s Tim McMohan reported that Doncic got three stitches in the back of his head.
