On the other hand, Cameron Norrie has impressed this year. He was the finalist at the 2021 Estoril Open. Besides Jannik Sinner, the British player has managed to win 18 matches this season. The 25-year-old player has won six titles in his career so far, in the Challenger singles and Future singles categories.

Thiem vs Norrie: Head-to-Head

Both players have faced each other once in the past. Although the Austrian star won the battle, it was a close-fought contest. They played their match in Acapulco in Mexico. This was in 2018 and the match ended after close to 2 hours and 30 minutes with a scoreline of 6-3 5-7 7-5.

The Austrian athlete is going through a rough period. However, he will give his 100%, and given his experience on the clay courts, he will have the edge over his opponent.
