Sky Sports and BBC had earlier reported that the deal is done and announcement can be made as early as Wednesday. But rumours are that these reports could be wrong.
Southampton manager, Ronald Koeman said yesterday,”We have not received serious bids from Manchester United.” However he later added that,”This is generally the time business starts.”

The transfer window officially opens tomorrow and the Dutchman clearly indicated that Club is not willing to miss out a single penny on Schneiderlin.
It was reported earlier that Manchester United had an £24m bid accepted but this statement, ridicules the story and now Louis van Gaal may well have to increase the bid and match the £30m valuation of the player.
The only certain aspect about the Schneiderlin saga is that the player is ‘determined’ to leave and go to a bigger and better club. This will work in favour of Manchester United, with personal terms agreed between the club and the player.

This means that Manchester United may not get hands on Schneiderlin soon enough, and may have to wait for another week, but as things stand, the deal looks sure to be done with only the confirmation to come, which can be anytime in the next week.
