When Manchester City took on Tottenham Hotspurs in their Premier League clash, it was a dramatic affair. Both teams were held to a 2-2 draw as VAR became City’s worst enemy. Tensions were also high when striker Sergio Aguero was subbed off by Pep Guardiola for Gabriel Jesus.

The 31-year-old was miffed as he left the pitch and tried to barge past his manager on his way into the dugout.

Guardiola, for his part, tried to pacify the Argentine, but was shrugged off angrilyin his attempts to grab Sergio Aguero by the arm and put his hand on his strikers chest.

The Argentine retaliating by giving the Spaniard an earful and fans on Twitter were captivated by the drama. Fortunately for the ‘Cityzens’, the two hugged it out after they had a chance to calm down.

City grabbed an early lead, via Raheem Sterling in the 7th minute, followed by Aguero in the 35th minute. Then, Erik Lamela managed to pull one back for the Spurs team in the second half, before Lucas Moura came off the bench to level the score.

VAR came back to haunt everyone, as the electronic scoreboard displayed a 3-2 score. However, the signal came that the goal could not stand.
