Manchester United does not want to let go of Thomas Muller as Robin van Persie is almost set to leave this summer to the Turkish club, Fenerbahce.

The club is desperate to sign strikers as they have already lost their star loanee Radamel Falcao to Chelsea, and Javier Hernandez’s future seems a doubt. The deal is understood to be updated to around  £60 million, according to Daily Star.

He is quite capable of replacing the Dutch forward and has all the essential credentials required. He has a lethal foot which always finds its spot, and his positioning on the ground is world class.  The striker has shown his worth very well not only at Bundesliga but also holds the record for scoring the most goals at the World Cup.

This comes after the whole fiasco a week ago, when it was reported that Woodward had personally gone to Munich to please the Chairman, but to no fruit. They hope that an updated deal might work its charm, but there’s only a very minute possibility of the club being willing to sell the player.

But there is something to be worried about, as The Sun reports Van Persie leaving the club being due to him feeling “betrayed” by the manager. On a personal note, we know how Louis van Gall prefers Dutch players, and the report seems shady.

Thomas Muller or not, Manchester United need a new striker; If not to replace Robin van Persie, then as a fresh face who can provide the much-needed energy.
