Former World No.1 Maria Sharapova retired from tennis in 2020. And by the end of 2020, she announced her engagement to British businessman Alexander Gilkes, whom she had been dating since 2018. And now it is reported that her engagement ring costs close to half a million dollars.

As reported, the true price of the engagement ring is 300,000 GBP or $400,000. It is a custom made emerald-cut diamond ring.

It is designed by Jessica McCormack and features 18k rose gold and oxidized silver with a central emerald-cut diamond.

Sharapova announced her engagement on December 17th, 2020. She posted a photo on her Instagram. Her caption read: “I said yes from the first day we met. This was our little secret, wasn’t it @gilkesa.”

In the new year’s post, Maria Sharapova showed off her engagement ring. And she thanked her fiancee for making 2020 delightful.
