Max Verstappen has been well-known for daring overtakes on his rivals and he is fearless. So, it was not surprising to learn that the Dutchman has been nominated for the FIA Action of the Year-award.

The fine candidate for the 2019 season was his overtake during an edge-of-the-seat battle with Charles Leclerc at Silverstone last July.

Max Verstappen has clinched this award three times before and he is on course to grab a fourth one. The Dutchman received the award in 2014 for superb pass on Antonio Giovinazzi at the Formula 3-race on Imola.

A year later, he was at it once again, with a bold overtake on Brazilian driver Felipe Nasr on the outside of Blanchimont at Spa Francorchamps. He also took the prize home in 2016 because of his overtake action on Nico Rosberg at Turn three during the infamous wet race in Brazil.

This time round, the overtake on the Ferrari-driver has been nominated. The crowd can vote on one of the nominations from different FIA-categories. Max Verstappen represents the Formula 1 category. As a further incentive for the fans, voters will have a chance to win a trip to an FIA-event of their choice.

The Dutchman has been highly impressive as usual and led the Red Bull charge this season. A couple of wins in 2019 have also proven that Red Bull and Honda are heading in the right direction. Since the Dutchman is only 22, there will be plenty more incredible overtaking moves to come from him in the future.
