Miami Open 2019: Stan Wawrinka Knocked Out

The Swiss, Stan Wawrinka is eliminated from the Miami Open 2019 as the Serbian tennis player, Filip Krajinovic ousted the 30th seed, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (5) in two hours and 39 minutes. It was a complete entertainment for the crowd in the Miami stadium and Wawrinka’s loss remarks the halt of the 26th Roger Federer and Wawrinka meeting.

The loss in Miami Open 2019 turned out to be a before time exit for the Swiss who surrendered to the World Number 26, Krajinovic. Wawrinka held the opening set as Krajinovic squandered his lead in the first set. The final set was pushed into the tiebreak and it turned out to be the focal point of the match.

The three-time Grand Slam champion, Wawrinka was just two points away from his presence in the third round at the Miami Open 2019, but the following long rally had disrupted the mental focus of Wawrinka. The World Number 40, Wawrinka was leading 5-2 and Krajinovic fought back to seal his spot in the third round of the Miami Open 2019.

Despite his loss, Wawrinka came up with some magnificent moves on the Miami soil and left the audience awestruck. His forehand winner in the third set was phenomenal where Kranjinovic on the net simply gazed at the moving ball. Krajinovic has disrupted the projected third round face off in the between the Helvetians where Federer and Wawrinka were supposed to put up the show in the Miami Open 2019.

Krajinovic was geared up at the premiere event of the ‘Sunshine Double’ in the desert and extended his tenure till the pre-quarters at the Indian Wells 2019, where he was stopped by Rafael Nadal. And for the Miami Open 2019, the Serb was directly placed on the draw-table with his astute form. Earlier in his opening round, he defeated the Frenchman,  Pierre-Hugues Herbert at the Miami Open 2019. Krajinovic will still be experiencing the Miami heat and will face the victor of Roger Federer and Radu Albot.
