Michael Jai White Claims Mike Tyson’s Fame Has Made Him Lonely

Mike Tyson, the heavyweight stalwart has always been in the limelight all his life. Be it for the right reasons or the wrong ones, Tyson has always grabbed global attention and continues to do so at the age of 54.

However, he has had his share of controversies that dragged him into troubled waters. Staring from imprisonment to all the other controversies outside of the ring, Tyson has been looked upon in a critical light by many. That said, his prime identity remains as a legendary boxer and he is still one of the most popular personalities across the globe.

But many consider Tyson’s fame to be a curse for him and have suggested it has driven him to loneliness.

Hollywood actor Michael Jai White believes the same and he recently revealed how Tyson’s fame differs from all the other celebrities around him. According to White,  Mike Tyson always grabs more attention than any of the Hollywood stars or television personalities. But that also turns him lonely.

Speaking on it White said, “Tyson has fame on top of fame. Because the thing is Tyson has a type of fame that goes to your soul because it’s the first fame. It’s the first fame when the toughest guy on the tribe could kill everybody else. That transcends anything.

“In a crowded room of dignitaries and people who have accomplished things. Millionaires, TV stars, Movie stars, singers, Mike Tyson is going to get all of the attention. Because what he has deep down on a warrior level.”

The Hollywood actor continued, “So he (Tyson) has got an obstacle that nobody else in the room has, so yeah it is a lonely existence.”

Following a troubled career during his prime reign, Tyson seems free from all the controversies now. The 54-year-old has his own business ventures and a podcast to look after. So, he is back in the business as a boxing analyst and entertainer.

Tyson’s Hotboxin podcast is also a massive success and is arguably one of the most popular talk shows in the world. Moreover, Tyson even returned to boxing action against Roy Jones Jr. in a special exhibition fight. He has claimed he will accept more such fights in the future and so it’s safe to say that Tyson has found his spirit and life once again in his dotage.
