Michael Phelps Welcomes New Member into his Family on Christmas

Receiving a total of 28 medals, Michael Phelps is considered to be the most decorated Olympian of all time. 23 gold medals, three silver medals, and 2 bronze medals sum up to make that number. Phelps’ breathtaking performances have always won fans’ hearts and also inspired many.

The athlete announced retirement after his stunning performance in the 2016 Rio Games, where he managed to bring home 6 medals. Post-retirement, the athlete discovered his own brand which focuses on swimming and training wears. The first product was released in 2015 and the brand was relaunched in July 2020.

Michael Phelps introduces new pet dog, Onyx

Phelps is known as the king of swimming’s butterfly stroke. He set his first world record in the 200-meters butterfly in the 2001 United States Spring Nationals as a 15-year-old. His achievements have motivated him as well as fans, to bring out the best in themselves.

Phelps is a well-known dog aficionado. Previously, the athlete has adopted and taken care of many dogs. Phelps and his wife, Nicole, are the self-proclaimed pet parents of two dogs, Juno and Legend.

Like any other family, Phelps also celebrated Christmas with his family. He spent the day with his wife, kids, and adorable pet dogs. Posting a picture of the whole family under a Christmas tree, the athlete introduced the new member of their family, Onyx, to the world.

The athlete is fond of dogs and his happiness in welcoming the new member is obvious by the smile on his face.

Phelps emphasizes having goals

Michael Phelps stands out as an inspiration to many. The athlete has dedicated his entire life to swimming and went on to become the GOAT of the Olympics.

According to the athlete having dreams is the key to a successful life. It drives you to follow the routine, no matter how tough or difficult it is.

I think it’s important to have a dream because that’s what’s going to drive you. That’s what’s going to help you. It’s going to motivate you to get out of bed every single day,said Phelps.
